🛠️ Troubleshooting Table
Problem | Fix |
“Account not registered” | Double-check SIP username, password, and proxy domain |
One-way audio | Enable STUN server or switch transport to TCP |
SIP works but calls fail | Try using the IP 188.34.143.144 instead of domain |
IP-auth calls don’t work | Disable REGISTER & confirm your IP is whitelisted in Bitcall |
Echo or distortion | Try G.722 or PCMU codec and disable video |
🧠 TL;DR Recap
✅ Download Bria
✅ Create a Generic SIP Account
✅ Use gateway.bitcall.io as domain
✅ Transport = UDP (or TCP/TLS)
✅ Register = Green ✅ → Start calling
✅ IP-auth: no password, no register!
💡 Bonus Tip: Codec Tweaks for Call Quality
Want HD audio? Go to:
Settings → Audio Codecs → Enable G.722, PCMU (G.711u)
Disable low-quality codecs (like GSM) for a clearer experience.
