“Eyebeam is like the Windows XP of SIP softphones — still kicking, still making calls, and still loved by power users.”
Let’s get Bitcall running on it in just a few minutes.
💾 What You Need
✅ A Bitcall account
✅ A SIP account (with credentials or IP-auth)
✅ Eyebeam installed (yes, it still works!)
➤ Download if needed (or your own license)
🖥️ Step-by-Step Setup
1.
Launch Eyebeam
When you first launch it, it might ask for account setup right away. If not, go to:
Menu → SIP Account Settings → Add
2.
Fill Out Your SIP Info
Here’s how to complete the fields:
Field | Value |
Display Name | Your name or label (e.g., Hafedh) |
Username | your Bitcall SIP username |
Authorization Username | same as above |
Password | your SIP password (leave blank if IP-auth) |
Domain | gateway.bitcall.io |
SIP Proxy | gateway.bitcall.io:5060 |
Outbound Proxy | leave empty |

3.
Choose Transport Type
Under Advanced or Network Settings tab:
Select UDP (default & most stable)
Optionally test with TCP or TLS if your network allows
📸 [Insert screenshot: transport protocol selector inside Eyebeam]
4.
Save and Register
Click OK or Apply, and Eyebeam should try to register.
Watch the top bar — it’ll say “Registered” if successful (green checkmark or green phone icon).
🔐 IP Authentication Setup (Optional)
If you’re using IP-based authentication (no username/password), you can still use Eyebeam, but keep in mind:
Setting | Value |
Username | any identifier (e.g., reseller-trunk) |
Password | leave blank |
Domain | gateway.bitcall.io |
Proxy | gateway.bitcall.io:5060 |
Register | Disabled (Eyebeam → Advanced) |
⚠️ In IP-auth, Eyebeam may show “Not Registered” — that’s normal. As long as your IP is added to Bitcall, outbound calls will still work.
📞 Making Your First Call
Type a number in international format (like +14155552671) and click the green dial button.

Listen for a happy ringtone. If it rings: 🎉 you’re in business!
🛠️ Common Issues & Fixes
Issue | Fix |
Registration Failed | Check SIP username, password, domain, and proxy |
Calls not going out | Set transport to UDP, and ensure correct SIP port (5060) |
No audio | Try disabling “Echo Cancellation” in Audio settings |
IP-auth not working | Confirm your server/device IP is whitelisted in Bitcall |
Call connects but drops | Check NAT settings in Eyebeam or enable STUN if needed |
🧠 TL;DR Recap
✅ Open Eyebeam → Add a SIP account
✅ Use your Bitcall SIP credentials
✅ Domain: gateway.bitcall.io
✅ Port: 5060 | Transport: UDP
✅ Register = green icon = ready to call!
